Dean's Fund for Excellence
The Office of Undergraduate Studies opens doors, fosters student success, and changes lives. A gift to the Dean's Fund for Undergraduate Studies directly impacts students in UGST programs.
Your gift allows the Office of Undergraduate Studies to recognize the most outstanding students in College Park Scholars, an interdisciplinary academic community with an emphasis on service learning.
The Honors College offers seven living and learning programs for top students. Small classes taught by renowned faculty stimulate discussion and foster innovative thinking across disciplines.
Individual Studies provides students with the challenge, flexibility and opportunity to create their own unique interdisciplinary curricula in order to obtain a bachelor's degree not already offered by UMD.
Academic Achievement Programs (AAP)/Intensive Educational Development (IED) Fund
Academic Achievement Programs/Intensive Educational Development (AAP/IED) facilitates access and provides the opportunity of a college education to students who, if evaluated on traditional criteria, might not have access to the University of Maryland.
AAP is composed of 7 different programs, these include the Summer Transitional Program (STP), Student Support Services/Intensive Educational Development (SSS/IED), Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), and the Educational Talent Search Programs (ETS) North and Central. These programs provide academic support, academic coaching and advising, skill enhancement, tutoring and counseling.
Donations to this fund provide discretionary support for all of AAP/IED's programs.
Make a college education possible for students from Baltimore City and Charles, Montgomery and Prince George's County high schools who demonstrate academic ability, uncommon persistence and maturity.
