Established in January 2004 by the Institute for Systems Research at the University upon the occasion of the retirement of Dr. Thomas McAvoy. The income from this quasi-endowment shall be used to provide annual support for a doctoral student enrolled in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
