2 SCHOLARSHIPs AWARDED:
What leadership roles or volunteer experiences have been important to you during your time at Maryland?
I worked as an ARHU Ambassador with J. Darius Greene for a year. This experience let me meet with prospective students and parents, giving me skills that I'm now finding useful in my work.
What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
My scholarship has allowed me to put a dent in my student loan debt, which I am eternally grateful for.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
UMD was the only college I applied to. I love everything about it, from the beautiful campus to the quality of the professors in my major. I've been a graduate for three months, and I already miss the Clarice Smith.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
I currently work with elementary and middle school age children in the College Park area. I hope to inspire them to be the best they can be.
What is your major, minor, class and graduation year?

I had the opportunity to take Scot Reese's Musical Theatre classes, and they were without a doubt my favorite classes taken during my undergraduate career. I learned performance and how to build an ensemble, and these classes helped to alleviate some of the crushing self-doubt that's plagued me on and off since starting college.
