What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
Thanks to my scholarship I was able to continue my studies at the Smith School. It lifted many financial worries off my shoulders and enabled me to focus better on my studies.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
I chose to attend UM because of the excellent reputation of the R.H.Smith School of Business, because of the diversity present at the campus, and because of the university's location in the Baltimore-Washington corridor.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
I will make a positive difference in the world by continuing to volunteer in outreach projects like the Entrepreneurial Partnership Greater Washington. Likewise, I want to become a mentor for students at the Smith School and share the experiences in my career with them. I have enjoyed the benefits of a mentor-mentee relationship myself and consider them invaluable.
