Scholarship History

The Monroe Martin Prize was established on March 28, 1972 to provide a $500 prize for an outstanding paper or achievement in applied mathematics as well as to pay travel expenses for recipients to present the results of their work in the form of the Monroe Martin Lecture. This fund honors Dr. Monroe H. Martin's retirement as Director of the Institute of Fluid Dynamics and Applied Mathematics.
