The Barbara Reeder/PricewaterhouseCoopers Endowed Scholarship was established in Septmeber 2010 by Dr. Maurice M. Reeder. Spendable Income from the Barbara Reeder/PricewaterhouseCoopers Endowed Scholarship shall be used to provide annual support to undergraduate students in the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University.
Barbara Carol Rudolph Reeder, who passed away in August 2009, was a loving companion and wife to Dr. Maurice M. Reeder for 24 years. She was also a well-respected colleague to those with whom she worked at PricewatershouseCoopers. Known for her polished professionalism and caring, helpful and positive attitude, Barbara Reeder was an unsurpassed resource for her fellow employees. In order to honor Mrs. Reeder’s memory and the impact she had on others, her husband, Dr. Reeder, and other individuals associated with PricewaterhouseCoopers established, through the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc., an endowed fund to support undergraduate students in the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Recipients of the Barbara Reeder/PricewaterhouseCoopers Endowed Scholarship are selected based on achievement of a 3.5 minimum GPA and and a demonstrated leadership ability with the promise of future success.
