Divine Nine Assistance Fund

Scholarship History

The Divine Nine Assistance Fund has been established to support emergency financial need for tuition and books to undergraduate members of the UMCP chapters of the nine historically Black Greek letter organizations that make up the National Pan-Hellenic Council, which are referred to as "The Divine Nine." The organizations include: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Priority is given to first-time applicants and those with expected graduation days within two semesters of application.

The Divine Nine Assistance Fund is established by the alumni members of the Divine Nine organizations in recognition of their shared values and their association with the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc.
