The Dr. Alice Morgan Love Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in April 27 1977 by Mrs. Alice Morgan Love, of Frederick, Maryland, in memory of her daughter, Dr. Alice Morgan Love. Dr. Love graduated from the University of Maryland in 1959 and later served as an associate professor of physical education at the University. Spendable Income from the Dr. Alice Morgan Love Memorial Scholarship Fund is used to support partial-to-full scholarship awards for outstanding undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the Department of Kinesiology. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic merit, demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to community service. Preference is given to students who graduated from Frederick High School in Frederick, Maryland.
