The Campaign Council shall advise and assist the Vice President for University Relations in leading the fund raising efforts for the University of Maryland. The committee guides the board in all fund raising matters including; the University's fund raising goals and objectives, prospect review and identification, solicitation strategies for major prospects, campaign strategies, and fund raising policies and procedures. In addition members of the Campaign Council will assist in enlisting additional volunteers in support of the fund raising initiatives and are expected to remain informed about the fund raising priorities, helping to generate awareness about the fund raising goals for the University.

Members of the Campaign Council may be called upon to participate in solicitation strategies or discussions. As such, members of this committee are expected to be current donors of the University of Maryland College Park.

The Campaign Council shall meet at least three times a year, with one meeting per year including all campaign volunteers.
