The Marketing Committee will assist and advise the Vice President for University Relations and the Assistant Vice President for marketing and communication with the marketing and communications strategy for the University. Members of the committee will be asked to review marketing strategies and plans, identify potential opportunities for the president to articulate the mission of the university and identify other community, civic and business leaders who can assist the university in establishing a strong presence within the state, region and nationwide.
Other projects may include input on significant annual events with a marketing focus, (e.g. Maryland Day), on-going identification or marketing partnership opportunities for the University and topics of timely interest, such as a review of national rankings and the University's position, communication plans for major university announcements, campaign theme and other related topics.
