What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
This scholarship has made my experience at the University of Maryland more enjoyable, enabling me to cut off my work hours and get more involved with university activities.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
The University of Maryland is one of the best institutions in the country, and I feel like getting my education at the University of Maryland will get me ready for a life beyond school. However, since I started attending the University of Maryland, I learned that there is more to it than just a great academic institution. There is a spirit of a big family, where you meet a lot of nice people who make themselves available to help you, and I am glad to call the University of Maryland my home, and happy to be a terp.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
I am trying to make a difference in the world by impacting the health field. To serve this purpose, I am taking my education at the University of Maryland very rigorously, and I would like to eventually get in the research field and work on pediatric health conditions.
