I chose to attend UMD because it has a beautiful campus and has both strong physics and engineering programs. As well, many of my friends chose to attend here, so I had a strong base in terms of support as well.

Tell us about your favorite class, extracurricular activity, academic opportunity, community involvement or another unique experience.
My favorite class so far at Maryland has to be PHYS410, Classical Mechanics. I was always interested in learning about how to mathematically model the world around me, and this class gave an in-depth treatment to it. I am excited to apply the things I learned in the classroom to outside experiences.
