What is your favorite campus setting and why?

My favorite campus setting is McKeldin Mall in the springtime, Performing Arts Library, and the Chapel lawns.

Why is the University of Maryland special to you?

UM is special to me because it is where I have met many fascinating and diverse people and learned how to use library resources wisely.

What has your scholarship meant to you or enabled you to do?

My scholarship helped me pay off debt to my parents, and also allowed me to take a volunteer position I was interested in instead of being forced to work a paid job I wasn't as excited about.

What special learning opportunities have you experienced at the university?

I have been able to live with people from different cultures and work one-on-one with professionals in my desired field.

Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland?

I chose to attend the University of Maryland because of the proximity, reasonable cost, and a solid liberal education.

What is your favorite quote and why?

Wherever you are, be there. I believe we are cheating ourselves if we do anything less than live in the moment.

Who do you admire and find is a source of inspiration to you?

I admire my friend Dan. He is healthy, dedicated to causes he believes in, and challenges me to believe in myself.

What are your career plans/aspirations?

I want to combine my love of libraries, research, and writing with my passion for theatre and the arts.
