1 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED:
What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
To me, recieving the Rodney A. Harrill Endowed Scholarship in Engineering means that people truely believe in my education and helping me succeed. This scholarship has allowed me to put less of a burden on my parents in paying for my education. This scholarhip has also allowed me to save money for after I graduate so that I can suport myself as I start my full time career at Northrop Grumman.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
I loved the University of Maryland the moment I stepped foot on campus. I felt welcomed by the faculty and staff and truely felt that the University needed me to succeed. This has been true throughout my college career, as I have recieved a lot of support in my education by both faculty and my peers. The University of Maryland has an amazing collaborative atmosphere that has helped me to succeed.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
As an engineer, I hope to develop new materials that will help increase the quality of life of people around the world. I am very interested in sustainable materials that will both help people and the environement.
What is your major, minor, class and graduation year?
I am a senior graduating in Spring 2015.

I am origionally from Medford, New Jersey.
