What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
I had an extremely hard time paying my tuition after my parents' business started falling in winter of 2012. This scholarship really helped me by paying my tuition and allowed me to focus on my academics and research.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
My older sister visited the University of Maryland during her college years, and told me that this school is one of the prettiest campus's she has ever visited. Also, my parents recommended me to attend this school because they liked how the school was located near a number of ferderal research places such as the FDA, NIH, and NIST. For that reason, I decided to attend the University of Maryland.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
I am planning on going to graduate school to develop my knowledge in neuroengineering/neurorehabilitation. Then, I will try my best to use my knowledge and skills to develop new devices or current technology for disabled people all around the world.
What is your major, minor, class and graduation year?
I am an expected class 2015. I will be graduating in May 2015.

I was born in Uijeongbu, South Korea.
