1 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED:
What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
My scholarship has eased some of the financial burden of attending graduate school--this has been a substantial help as I work to establish myself in my career.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
I chose the University of Maryland because of the great opportunites the MPP program afforded me. Maryland was the only school that offered an international security and economic policy specialization, and it had impressive post-graduation employment statistics.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
I will take the policymaking skills I learned at the University of Maryland and apply them in my federal career. I believe in pragmatic policymaking, and I understand the nuances in policy implementation. I want to take the lessons I have learned while at UMD to help contribute to relevant, positive policy changes at the federal level.

I am a second year graduate student at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy
