What leadership roles and/or volunteer experiences have you had?

I am currently a graduate advisor of the Psi Chi, the International honor society in psychology for undergraduates at UMD. I also serve as the banquet co-chair for the 2011 Annual Convention of the Asian American Psychological Association

What has your scholarship meant to you or enabled you to do?

Being an international student with employment restrictions, the scholarship relieved my financial stress. It enabled me to focus on and continue to make progress in my research and graduate studies.

Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland?

I chose the University of Maryland because of its welcoming atmosphere for cultural diversity and scholarship exchange. I have benefited from ample learning opportunities from talented faculty and peers through research collaboration, classwork, and externship experiences in the community.
