What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
The scholarship enabled me to continue my education, without having to worry about working overtime. It gives me the opportunity to excel in course works, as well as having time to contribute back to the community.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
UM is a school with public school tuition, but private institution quality of education. Abundance of research opportunity is also a big plus for me, since I knew I would be interested to get a PhD.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
I am going to attend MIT for graduate school, sharpen my technical skills even further, then use what I have learned from school in real world applications. My career plan is to found a company which produces robots, which can help people with disabilities, as well as day to day housework.
