Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
I choose to attend University of Maryland because of its national ranking and reputation. Also, its proximity to my lifelong home of Bowie, Maryland, made it a school of choice. UMD also has a very strong and reputable Landscape Management program lead by Dr. Steve Cohan, therefore it gave me an opportunity to participate in the Institute of Applied Agriculture, as well as obtain a degree from the university in landscape management
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
I have always felt that education was for the purpose of gaining and training for leadership. I have striven to take my courses seriously, so as to leave the university with a body of knowledge that will permit me to be the best that I am able to be within my profession of choice. By understanding that I am living life with purpose and plan, I hope to inspire trust within those with whom I am dealing personally and professionally.
