What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
To me my scholarship means that I am able to work less hours at my part-time job and concentrate more on my school work. After graduation I hope to go to graduate school. I have worked part-time for the past three years to pay my tuition bills, I have been very fortunate with grant and scholarship help.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
I chose to attend UM, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources because of the student base, the students come from so many Maryland farms. I also chose the UM, AGNR because of the faculty and staffs dedication to their students and the scholarship opportunity. Without scholarships I would not be able to attend college.
How will you make a positive difference in the world?
Farmers work very hard everyday, they work more hours in a weekend then most work in week, they do not get vacations, and they do not get the credit they deserve. I hope to one day be a spoke person for the farmer, and be the connection between the farmer and the consumer.
