I am a volunteer of the High School Science Olympiad.
What has your scholarship meant to you and how has it enabled you to pursue new and exciting opportunities?
The Michael P. Murad Memorial President's Scholarship allowed me to focus on my academic development and enabled me to obtain the tools I need to become a chemical engineer.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Maryland, what makes this place special to you and what is your favorite part of being a Terp?
The University of Maryland has supportive educators and students. Not only did I receive support from my professors, I am also supported by generous donors from the UMD scholarship community. By being a student of UMD, I am able to receive the Michael P. Murad Memorial President's Scholarship, which is special to me because it showed me that there are people who encourage me to chase my dream.

I am a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering. I will be graduating in May 2019.
