Scholarship History
The Dellburt A. Kidwell, Sr. Memorial Scholarship was established, through the University System of Maryland Foundation, Inc., in March 1982 by Irving Kidwell. At the request of the donor, the fund was transferred to the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc. in September 2000. Spendable Income from the Dellburt A. Kidwell, Sr. Memorial Scholarship provides an annual scholarship to a worthy freshman in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
