The David Andrew Tretter Memorial Scholarship was established, through the University System of Maryland Foundation, Inc., in May 1988 by Steven and Teresa Tretter, in memory of their son. At the request of the donors, the Fund was transferred to the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc. in June 2004. Spendable Income from the David Andrew Tretter Memorial Scholarship provides annual scholarship support for students in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
