Dr. Mordecai Ezekiel Memorial Fund

Scholarship History

Established November 11, 1974, in memory of Dr. Mordecai Ezekiel, a New Deal economic advisor who fashioned much of the Roosevelt Administration's agricultural legislation. The income is to be used for a scholarship award to an undergraduate student at UMCP. Dr. Ezekiel, who received a B.S. degree from the University in 1918, was a member of Roosevelt's Brain Trust and later was Deputy Director General of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization.
