Susan Tannenbaum '64 & Bernice Tannenbaum '69 Endowed Undergraduate Prize in Climate Science

Scholarship History

"Susan Tannenbaum established the Susan Tannenbaum '64 and Bernice Tannenbaum '69 Endowed Undergraduate Prize in Climate Sciences in November 2016 to support an annual prize for outstanding undergraduate students in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science in the College of Computer, Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The prize goes to students with the best undergraduate research project and who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Susan and Bernice Tannenbaum grew up in Maryland and attended UMD majoring in zoology. Their mutual concern about climate change and its impact on the world's future inspired them to create this prize."
