Celebration of Scholarships
Mylo S. Downey Memorial Fund

Scholarship History

In memory of his father, Edward M. 52 and Loretta Downey established the Mylo S. Downey Fund in March 1977 to support undergraduate engineering majors in the Incentive Awards Program, with a preference for those with financial need and a background of achievement in 4-H work. Mylo Downey was a long-time cooperative extension agent and state 4-H leader. Edward and Loretta Downey were true entrepreneurs who spent more than 40 years in the business world. After founding and building two businesses, they shared their success through philanthropy.
